I am a bioengineer, trained as a physicist. I have a profound interest in developing microfluidic tools and bio-mimetic tissue models to study human pathophysiological conditions. I dream of a world where complete health screening could be done rapidly and non-invasively—a world where nobody dies due to a shortage of donated organs or failed transplants.
Earlier, I have worked on developing a 3D-bioprinted Lung-on-Chip model and investigating Mycobacterium abscessus infection dynamics (at McKinney Lab, EPFL), and developed microfluidic tools for enabling low-cost point-of-care diagnostics (at Satapathi Lab, IIT Roorkee). I have 2 patent applications, founded Lab-on-Chip systems student research group in IIT Roorkee, and co-founded a personalized nanofabrication startup ‘LabX Scientific’ where I worked on developing a smart spin coater with real-time film thickness control.
I enjoy reading & discussing philosophy, psychology and firmly believe that very few problems cannot be solved by a good nap! My MBTI Personality: INTJ.
